Um, I need a break. Please?

Well, we’re ending another chapter in the TF2 book tomorrow. Filming officially wraps tomorrow here in New Mexico. It’s been a blast, and filming has been amazing. A lot has happened. Here’s a rundown.


The day that Shia and I got back from L.A. (the 17th, Wednesday like a week and a half ago), it was a big day. Not only were we shooting some major stuff, but Entertainment Tonight was there as well. Mark Steines and the entire crew was there capturing some behind the scenes footage to show to the public. Maybe you caught it? It was fun, but really stressful while they were there. But everyone got to see “Egypt”, which wasn’t what it was all cracked up to be. We really thought Bay was taking us to Egypt. Turns out the crew built an AMAZING set at White Sands. You really couldn’t tell the difference. Anyway, the ET thing aired last week (and of course, I missed it). If you missed it I wouldn’t be surprised if it was on youtube. It’s definitely on their website though. I have yet to find the time to watch it though. There is a possibility that Mark and company will be back for more exclusives, so be sure to watch for that.


Tomorrow (Monday, September 29) will officially be our last day here. We’re having an open day of sorts tomorrow. Military personnel only, with ID of course. So if you’re qualified (what a funny way of saying it), you should stop by and say hi. I think that Bay has something special planned while everyone is here but I’m not exactly sure…


Next stop for filming: The Boneyard at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson, AZ. It should be beyond amazing. Hopefully there will be more updates from there. That is, if I have the time.


Even while here filming in NM, I still found the time to have some fun with Shia and the gang. In a very sneaky way, might I add. We managed to somehow get into the midnight showing of Eagle Eye here in Alamogordo without being noticed or recognized. Sure, everyone was wearing hats and inconspicuous clothes, but still. I count it as a victory. We thought we’d go see the movie because Josh and Tyrese hadn’t seen it yet. Of course, I had already seen it at the premiere and thought it was highly amazing, so I was ready to go again. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint. I think Shia was nervous while we were there though. We’d never been in the same room with an audience that had never seen our movies before except for Hollywood premieres. But in reality, it doesn’t matter what Hollywood thinks. What the audience and the fans think is what matters. So here he was, sitting in a theater full of people, waiting for them to see what I think is the performance of his career. He had to be a little nervous. But it all ended well, because the audience loved it. More importantly, Josh and Tyrese loved it too. We didn’t get back home until like 3. And of course we had to be on set at 10 the next morning. Needless to say, we were a little tired. But it was worth it. We had a blast, and Shia seemed happy with the reaction from everybody. (P.S. All the people who were in the theater that we were when we saw the movie are probably freaking out right now. They just found out we were there. That’s a little funny.)


This upcoming week should be pretty busy for me. How To Lose Friends & Alienate People comes out on Friday, so there’ll be a premiere this week, probably in L.A. On top of the premiere this week (which means I’ll be flying back and forth—AGAIN), I really have no clue what the schedule for TF2 is like this week. Bay hasn’t really said anything about it yet. Knowing him, he probably will say something tomorrow. At least I hope he does. And I hope it’s not too crazy. Because I really don’t need the added stress of figuring out how to fit everything in this week. I’m too stressed out now as it is. But as soon as Halloween rolls around, I should be chill. Because almost everything will be over. Besides TF2, there’s not a whole lot I’m doing right now. So it’ll be nice. I’ll have to start press for Jennifer’s Body sometime. I’m guessing early next year, but since there’s not an exact release date yet, I can’t say for sure. Press will probably start for TF2 in April. Slow and minimal press I’m hoping. The big stuff will probably hit in May, AFTER my birthday (a plea to Bay, maybe?).


So after an amazing chapter in the TF2 book, I say this: good night. I haven’t been to bed this early the entire time that we’ve been shooting. It’s actually amazing that I actually get to sleep now. But knowing myself and the people around me, I probably won’t. There’ll be something going on somewhere, and I’ll get involved somehow. And of course, just as I typed that, I got a text. “Party over here.” Of course. Shia’s texting and I guess I’m leaving. Last night party, I suppose? Who knows? I’ll let you know all about it sometime soon. I hope.

Off to party. I don’t know why I thought I’d be able to sleep tonight. Maybe I’ll try the cucumbers on my eyes thing. If I have time.

L.A. Fun!

So last night was a nice little treat for me. Shia asked me to go to the Los Angeles premiere of his new film Eagle Eye with him, and of course I accepted. So we both flew from Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico back home to L.A. We weren’t really home for long though. I was only home just long enough to get ready for the premiere, and then we were off. I have only this to say of the movie: AMAZING. It’s released in theaters on September 26, and everyone should see it. I think it’s one of the best movies I’ve seen in a long time. Anyway, when we got to the premiere, we did the usual red carpet interviews. Or Shia did anyway. I was just there to show my support. And apparently be Shia’s arm candy for the night. That’s okay though—I didn’t mind ;) Here’s a picture.

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww… we look so cute. And well rested. Even though that wasn’t the case.

After the movie was over, there was the inevitable party. We stayed for a bit and chatted everyone up, and then it was time to go home, grab some more stuff for our home away from home in NM, and head back to the airport. I think we left L.A. at like 2 something in the morning. And like 2 hours later, we were back in Alamogordo—half asleep might I add. We had a long day ahead of us (of course one of the biggest days for shooting happens to be after we both leave for L.A. and come back within 24 hours. Thanks Bay.). That day was today, and it was intense. We ended up getting back at like 5 am. I think I got like 2 and a half hours of sleep and then I had to be up for the day. Not that I’m complaining though. I had so much fun in L.A. with Shia.

Today = BIGGEST DAY SO FAR. End of story. Everyone was there. It’s a part of TF2 that I guarantee you will never forget. And that’s all I can say about it.

I am thoroughly wiped out. Exhausted. Had a fabulous dinner and I am so sleepy that I can barely type this. But I’m sure I’ll find some energy somewhere. Because in about 10 minutes, there’s a cast party of sorts going on. And I’m a part of it. I think I need to go find a sugar free Red Bull somewhere around here…

I was wrong.

And I'll admit it: I was wrong. We aren't leaving Holloman until sometime next week. The schedule got switched around. All we got was a "next week." Who really knows what that means then? Anyway, after Holloman we will be heading to Egypt, which to me is still exciting. We're going to have a lot of fun. Here's an update on what's been happening lately as we shoot this amazing movie, a.k.a. TF2: RotF.

• Bay's apartment was broken into on Friday night. Some valuable things were taken I'm told, but nothing related to TF2. The police aren't saying much, but they are confident that they'll catch whoever did this. And we're all hoping that they're right.
• Shooting timeline: 5 WEEKS LEFT!!!
• The teaser trailer will be released in November. There hasn't been a confirmation as to what movie it will be paired with, so I can't tell you that. I'm assuming it'll be the new James Bond movie (Quantum of Solace). Either that or Twilight. But I'm not exactly sure yet. I'll let you know when I know the answer for sure.

Oh, and people have been asking me where we're going after Egypt. The answer? It's a well kept secret. Not kept by us, but by Bay. The production crew and Bay himself are the only ones who know the answer. I'm assuming that eventually he'll tell us, but probably not until we get on the plane to leave Egypt. But who knows really?

Have to go. Time to rehearse. Shia's bugging me. He says hi. And that Megan's lazy and she needs to get some work done instead of blogging on the computer. Nice.

Wow.

Wow. Life has been nuts lately. It seems like I haven't been home in a really long time, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. We've been shooting TF2 like gangbusters. Seriously. Ever since Shia came back to work, I haven't had a day off. Okay, so I may be lying a bit. There was one day that I didn't have to work. But still, that's the only day I've had off in a long time. For Shia's first days back, we shot strictly in Los Angeles. Now, we're off to NM for some fun: Holloman Air Force Base and White Sands Missile Range in Alamogordo, NM to be exact. We filmed some of the first movie there (not me though), and from what I've heard the people there couldn't be nicer. Then it's off to Egypt...that's going to be exciting. I am really looking forward to going on a "vacation" of sorts with the TF family. It should be a good time. We actually get to stay a couple of days longer than we usually would, just for fun. It was Bay's idea of a "company picnic." Some picnic, huh? Anyway, this post must remain short. Lots to do today. Including getting my driver's license renewed and eating dinner with Shia before we have to leave tomorrow afternoon. So excited!!!!!!
